Virginia Intermont College
Virginia Intermont College had riders in all eight classes at 2012 IDA Nationals in Long Valley, New Jersey. All eight received ribbons which were sixth place or higher. However senior Erin Hoyt (on left, with coach Lisa Moosmueller-Terry) was the only VI rider to win a class, placing first in individual training level test 3 on April 29th and receiving lots of prizes to take back home with her.

Seen here with coach Lindsey Williamson, Cody Armstrong (on right) was the only Virginia Tech rider to compete at 2012 IDA Nationals. Armstrong was ninth in individual first level test 3 in Long Valley, New Jersey on April 29th.

Horseshoe Region H News and Notes: Through October 30th (or the first three shows) Virginia Intermont College leads the Region H Team Standings with 19 points, followed by Wake Forest with 15, Appalachian State with 12, Virginia Tech with 11, Salem College with 5 and Elon University with 3...Virginia Intermont faired very well at their home show on October 23rd, with their team A leading the way with 16 points (team percentage 68.85). VI had the top three teams that day while Sierra Mills of the home team earned High Point Rider Honors.
