Katie Fink of Cornell University (on left) was second in her open flat class while placing fourth in the Collegiate Medal Division. Her younger brother Joey (center) was a winner in novice flat for Goucher College. And their mother Anne (on right) was happy that the weather was outstanding (mid-50's by late afternoon) and that both Katie and Joey did so well at the Winter Tournament of Champions in Fredericksburg, Virginia on January 28th.

Goucher College was technically ninth with 17 points. Cornell University made the top eight, with 21. A school from Western Massachusetts with a proven track record at these events rolled down the tracks to the Washington, DC area for the third and final Tournament of Champions series event of 2011-12. And they rode the rails home with high point team honors and the Tournament series trophy...

In Zone 3, Region 3 they have hunter seat alumni classes once again after a season without. In Zone 3, Region 4 they have had to split the classes into multiple sections. HOST CENTENARY WINS 20TH HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS EVENT
The Tournament of Champions series debuted in 1992, before it was known that several different tournament series events would take place each season. On December 3rd Centenary College hosted the 20th 'December' event of it's kind (the fifth time the Cyclones hosted the event) and though it was close the home team pulled it out in the final division... RED HAWKS WIN PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENT
