Above the red ribbon hanging on the Becker College team banner is Head Coach Ed Paro. Paro was a most happy coach on October 27th, as his Hawks finished reserve behind the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and were only nine points out of first place overall through four Region 3 shows. Becker College had also finished ahead of Mount Holyoke at the Mount Holyoke Equestrian Center for the first time in program history. Things did not change much two weeks later at the Amherst College show, and as a result Becker is only ten points behind Mount Holyoke and eleven behind UMass for the Region 3 lead headed into the February/March shows.

From left to right are Kristy McKillop, Coach Kim Ehrlich, Heather Kelly and Amy Romano of Springfield College. When this photo was taken at the Region 3 season opener hosted by Becker on October 6th all three riders showed in the final three classes of the day, each of which was advanced walk-trot-canter. McKillop earned Springfield a team point with a sixth, though Romano was fourth in the section which followed. Springfield faired better at the Williams and Mount Holyoke fall shows, scoring seven points at both.
