Members of the Northern Illinois University entourage pose in the 'outdoor' winner's circle at 2008 IHSA Nationals with
Washington University in St. Louis junior Maria Hossain (third on left) after she competed in individual walk-trot at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank,
California on May 9th. Washington teammate Ari Mishkin (fourth on right) also traveled to Nationals to see Hossain compete. Though Hossain was out of the ribbons
a good time was had by all.
We now have a few specifics on this photo of the Earlham Quakers. The photo was taken at the first Region 1 hunter seat show of the season, hosted
by Purdue University. Earlham rider Lindsey Brizendine forwarded it to us following the December 1st/2nd shows hosted by Taylor and Butler Universities, respectively. The Quakers were in fact
reserve high point team at both shows over the December 1st/2nd weekend. Earlham was reserve high point hunter seat team on five separate occasions over ten regular season shows. The Quakers
finished third in the Region 1 hunter seat team standings, their highest placing in program history. And seven Earlham riders qualified for Regionals, with at least one rider qualified to
compete twice (photo taken by Valentine Fisher; courtesy Lindsey Brizendine, Valentine Fisher and the Earlham College Equestrian Team).
