IHSA ZONE 5 - REGION 4

Virginia Intermont College was technically ninth at the Holiday Tournament of Champions invitational in Long Valley, New Jersey on December 3rd. Ashleigh Ramey (pictured) earned seven of VI's 20 points that day when the sophomore from Culpepper, Virginia won her novice flat class.

There were two teams from Region 4 at the Holiday Tournament, with Virginia Tech being the other. Jessica Ropelewski more than doubled the Hokie's point total on December 3rd during the final team class. Virginia Tech had been sitting at four points most of the day before the junior from Midlothian, Virginia (on left, with Coach Sherri West) was second in intermediate flat to give the Hokies nine points at a show which involved 18 different teams that were leading their respective regions at the time.
