Seen here with head coach Kelly Francfort, Melinda Pazel of Rutgers University (on left) finished her junior year by placing eighth at Zone 3 Zones in individual walk-trot last April 7th. The Scarlet Knights nearly made it three straight region titles, missing out by only ten points to Lafayette College.

The other region 4 rider to compete in individual walk-trot at Zones last April is Claire Jarvis of the University of Scranton (pictured). From Clinton, New Jersey, Jarvis was fourth in the division at the Centenary University Equestrian Center on April 7th. The Royals finished third in the region during 2017-18.
After spending their first decade in the IHSA as a member of Zone 3, Region 1 Lebanon Valley College joined Region 4 in 2017-18 and sent four riders to Regionals including Kylie Dunham (center). Seen here between head coach Cheryl Keller (on left) and IHSA Founder and Executive Director Bob Cacchione, Dunham qualified for Regionals in the advanced walk-trot-canter division. Dunham is seen here on March 18th when LVC hosted. This may have been the first time LVC had hosted an IHSA show without a co-host in the history of their program.
Seen here with head coach Jess Brittain, Bryn Wiragh (on left) was one of three Moravian College riders to qualify for Regionals last season. From Macungie, Pennsylvania, Wiragh pointed out of advanced walk-trot-canter over the final two shows. Brittain's facility, Phoenix Rising in Milford, New Jersey, was set to host one fall show in October but due to heavy rain knocking out most of the parking at Cornerstone Farm the season opener was also moved to Phoenix Rising on September 30th on four day's notice.
Thought they lost some key riders to graduation following the 2016-17 season, Bloomsburg University only fell from second overall to a close fourth. The Huskies were still in the team race through half the season, thanks to riders such as Amie Rader (pictured). From Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania, Rader went to Regionals in advanced walk-trot-canter (as well as intermediate western horsemanship on the western side). Bloomsburg will once again co-host during the fall at Keystone Horse Center, which is believed to be the site of 2019 Zone 3 Zones.
Seen here on a very warm opening day last September 24th, Madison Gianelle of Lehigh University (on left, with head coach Marisa Mangiameli) went on to qualify for Regionals in the popular advanced walk-trot-canter division (one of 16 Region 4 riders to do so in 2017-18).
Seen here with "Andy" a few seasons back, Angie Pomponio of Kutztown University pointed out of both hunter seat novice divisions as well as intermediate western horsemanship during the 2017-18 season. The Golden Bears will co-host on November 4th with Alvernia University, the latter of which is a brand-new IHSA team in 2018-19. It is very rare that an IHSA show is scheduled with a co-host that has never once entered an IHSA show but this is what will happen when the seventh Region 4 hunter seat show of the fall takes place.
