Black Hawk College sophomore Travis Born was third in team open reining and sixth in team open western horsemanship at 2009 IHSA Nationals in Murfreesboro, Tennessee April 23rd through 26th. Though we do not have the final Region 2 western team standings we can tell you that Black Hawk captured their third consecutive western Region Title. Black Hawk went on to score 17 points and place third in the western team competition at 2009 IHSA Nationals.
