The vast majority of Black Hawk College riders to reach Semifinals and Nationals were sophomores, which means their time at the two-year Illinois school is nearly over. However Black Hawk freshmen teammates Carrie Somerville (on left) and Josh Clevenger (on right) both competed at 2012 Nationals. From Onslow, Iowa Somerville competed in the individual AQHA Trophy division while Clevenger (from Mount Olive, Illinois) was second in the NRHA-sponsored individual open reining division on May 5th in Raleigh, North Carolina.
