By spending a year at the University of Wyoming, Erin Downey (pictured) not only got to be part of the Cowgirls' equestrian team she even made it all the way to Nationals in the individual intermediate equitation on the flat! Downey resides in the 49th state, where she will get her degree from the University of Alaska at Anchorage in the Spring of 2009. Though the state of Alaska currently has no schools with IHSA teams it would not shock us to see one formed in the next five years.
