Seen here as a freshman, Mary Roskens of Miami University of Ohio leads the Region 3 hunter seat open rider standings through four shows. A senior from Omaha, Nebraska, Roskens won twice at the September 29th Louisville show and holds a ten point lead over teammate Roberta Cullinan headed into the Midway show on November 16th. Meanwhile the Red Hawks won their October 12th and 13th home shows, erasing an eight point deficit to Midway entering the weekend and coming out 17 points ahead in the Region 3 hunter seat team standings. UPDATE: Miami of Ohio went on to win the region by 30 points over Midway. Meanwhile at Zones Roskens won the Cacchione Cup Class to advance to IHSA Nationals where she placed fourth out of 24 entries in Mill Spring, North Carolina on May 4th. Therefore Roskens closed out her four years with the Red Hawks as the nation's fourth-best hunter seat open rider.
