IHSA ZONE 6 - REGION 2

Ohio State University sophomore Austin Griffith (on left, with Buckeyes Western Coach Ollie Griffith, who is also his Father) earned 53 of a possible 56 points in the western open divisions over four fall shows. Griffith leads the Region 2 western open rider standings by 21 points while the Buckeyes lead Miami of Ohio by 12 in the western team standings.

The Region 2 hunter seat open rider race is much closer. Through the fall Lauren Cechini of Ohio State (pictured) trails Jamie Donovan of Miami of Ohio by only two points. The senior from Flemington, New Jersey has twice qualified for IHSA Nationals on an individual basis but is still in search of her first appearance in the Cacchione Cup Competition.
