In their first year as a member of Zone 1, Region 4 the University of Connecticut captured high point team honors by a healthy 51 point margin over 2024 Region Champion Stonehill College. This was the first time since 2016 that the Huskies advanced a full hunter seat team to Zones. Eight UConn riders qualified for Regionals, also the highest number for any Zone 1, Region 4 team this season. One of the eight is Cara Bailey (pictured), a sophomore from Stratton, Vermont whose second in individual limit over fences at Zones on April 6th sent her on to IHSA Nationals to again compete in the division on May 2nd.
