2012 ZONE 4 ZONES RESULTS

Host Goucher College won three of the first four team classes and eventually won 2012 Zone 4 Zones by a 45-43 score over reserve champion St. Andrews University. Junior Addie Jabin of the Gophers won both of the team intermediate classes. Though some may have thought runner-up St. Andrews was led by one person it was simply that identical twin sisters Kali and Sami Cram each won a team novice class. Kali won team novice flat while Sami won team novice fences (the Cram sisters combined to ride four times in the team competition for the Knights). Hampered by four white ribbons to start the team competition, Bridgewater College rallied late behind wins for Kara Sims (in team walk-trot) and Taylor Rose (in team open flat) to overtake the University of Delaware for third by a 34-30 score. Hollins University did not have a full team entered but cleaned up individually. All three Hollins riders entered advanced to Nationals, with Emma Lane Poole (individual open over fences) and Catherine Hensly (individual walk-trot-canter) winning their classes outright.

The top two riders in each individual class and the top two hunter seat teams in the team competition advanced to IHSA Nationals May 3rd through 6th in Raleigh, North Carolina:
