Union College made their IHSA debut at the February 19th Skidmore College show. From left to right are Union Faculty Advisor Jennifer Matsue (who went out for a ride herself later that day), MacKenzie Westfall, Julie Russell, Grace Carrol, Courtney Steiner and Union Head Coach (and former Cornell rider) Elizabeth Kozakiewicz. When this photo was taken Carroll was about to be the first Union rider to take to the ring in IHSA history. While the junior from Richfield, Connecticut was third in intermediate fences in the historic first Union ride, Carroll later won her intermediate flat for Union's first-ever blue ribbon.

The University of Connecticut won the first-ever Zone 2, Region 5 Region Title during the 2010-11 season. Head Coach Alena Meacham (on left) saw two of her Huskies riders reach IHSA Nationals. Angela Bernier (second on right, between her parents) was one of them. A junior from Putnam, Connecticut, Bernier finished ninth in individual intermediate equitation on the flat at IHSA Nationals on May 5th.
