FOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSES

Though the Campus Equestrian web site will cease operations at midnight, August 5, 2012 the Campus Equestrian home page will remain active. This means the page will be available for all to see for years to come. The information on the home page will not change unless someone specifically asks to have something removed (such as a link or an advertisment).

The stories which remain on the home page are subject to revisions (a link may change, a photo needs to be changed for some reason, etc.). The main content will not change. The same stories will simply stay put.

The IHSA Zones Pages and Region Pages will NOT immediately disappear. These pages will remain for anyone who has bookmarked them directly. The home page will not link to them as the map on the homepage has been removed. However between August 5th and September 30th the plan is to remove all the Region and Zone pages. During this time some may see prior versions of these Zone or Region Pages, perhaps dating all the way back to 2002.

The IEA and IDA Region Pages will NOT immediately disappear. These pages will remain for anyone who has bookmarked them directly. The home page will not link to them as the maps on the homepage have been removed. By mid-October the plan is to remove all the IEA and IDA Region Pages.

The Campus Equestrian Facebook Page will still be there! If anyone wants to write something on the Facebook page as the 2012-13 season progresses they are more than welcome to do so (i.e. they are encouraged to do so!). The owner and operator will occasionally even write something there.

On a personal note: When I knew Campus Equestrian was going to shut down I considered trying to use my final written story to thank every single person within the IHSA, IEA and IDA that I felt a desire to give thanks to, past and present. However to put it in perspective I realized that I would not be thanking over 500 IHSA, IEA and IDA coaches but that so many riders, parents and others who passed by at shows also deserved thanks. Besides not knowing where to begin with such a list I was certain I would remember someone who I left out moments after the site went dormant. And that wouldn't be fair to him or her. So I thought of a better way to get in the last word:

This page was designed to thank every person that in some way, shape or form helped me make Campus Equestrian (and my time at my previous website, SPORTS CAMPUS) every bit as worthwhile as it was.

There was not enough room.

Thank You All,

Steve Maxwell
Owner and Operator
